UK Home Office signals change in cannabis industry
Joint statement given by largest and most diverse representation of cannabis and hemp organisations reveals a positive outcome
On Wednesday 31st March, the BHA, CTA, NI Hemp, SHA and Unyte Hemp met with the Home Office to find workable and industry-centric solutions for regulators, public health, and the UK industry.
We would like to thank the Home Office for their swift response to our call for a meeting. Speaking on behalf of over 1000 hemp and CBD businesses, the largest and most diverse group in the UK, we discussed the various irregularities facing the hemp industry. These include controlled substances naturally present in trace amount in hemp foods, import licenses and farming.
