The Team at the CTA is grateful for your interest and support throughout this difficult covid-infused trading year. It’s been tough for you, your business, your co-workers, family and friends.
Whether it was our directors working with government lobbying and leading, or on standards for your industries the CTA has been extending ourselves to strengthen, highlight and ease business restrictions.
The CTA has positions with the APPG on CBD, the CIC, BSI, Trading Standards, MHRA, and FSA to name the obvious ones – we work with and guide one another. We continue to collaborate with other trade associations, EIHA, BHA, SHA and NIH to the mutual benefit of our industry.
Despite working under Covid conditions we have been planning and organising for the future
- Created a new website with a member’s portal.
- formed a coordinated Primary Authority Partnership with Oxfordshire County Council for our membership.
- Added a Jon Betts to the directorate and Marika Graham-Woods joined the executive team.
Looking ahead the CTA has plans for the next year including our ongoing Stockists promotion. There will be an incentive scheme for current members, and strategies to support key market sectors. We are working hard to align legislation.
We have all pulled together and our members know they can rely on the CTA to listen and help where we can. We could not have done this without your help and support. It’s been hard but we can see the gloom lifting for 2022.
The CTA only exists because of the passion, inventiveness, support and contributions of our members, directors, volunteers and the staff. The fact that we all forget our differences and join forces is a little Christmas miracle in itself. Once a year, we should take a moment to acknowledge this unique fact and to say thank you to you all.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
